This workshop will help you to recognize, assess, and work more effectively with individuals with dementia and their caregivers. The difference between aging related forgetfulness and early warning signs of dementia will be discussed, along with an overview of the stages & treatments for Alzheimer's disease & dementia. You will also learn practical techniques & strategies for caring for persons with dementia, based on the person centered care philosophy.
